Today, we are reaching out to update you about the implications of the COVID19 outbreak on PCC Farmland Trust’s upcoming event at Town Hall on April 22.
Guided by King County Public Health’s recommendations and the Center for Disease Control’s recent restrictions on gatherings of over 50 people, we are working closely with our board of directors and partners at Town Hall Seattle to move our conversation with Frances Moore Lappé, Anna Lappé, and a panel of local farmers to a fully digital platform.
Our goal is to do our part to protect the health of our community first and foremost, while still making this important conversation accessible to as many people as possible. In the coming weeks, we will share specific details here on our blog, via email, and on social media about how you can engage with our event online. If you are not currently subscribed to our list, you can sign-up here. In the meantime, please reach out to Development & Communications Director Judith Austin if you have any questions.
If you’d like to take immediate action to support our mission amidst these uncertain times, please consider a donation to PCC Farmland Trust. In addition, we encourage you to buy direct from local farms via online stores or CSA shares, or inquire about other pre-ordering options to support their businesses.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness, patience, and steadfast support during this uncertain time. We are grateful for you, our supporters, and wish you the best of health.
