Join us for a PCC Cooks class to benefit farmland
Our founder PCC Community Markets has put together a perfect menu to celebrate local farms in their Farm to Table with PCC Farmland Trust series for PCC Cooks. Best of all, a portion of proceeds from the classes will go directly to our campaign to protect farmland in the Puget Sound region: Our Farms, Our Future.
Farm to Table with PCC Farmland Trust Menu
Tomato Peach Soup with Lemon and Mint Crème Fraîche
Zucchini Ribbon and Stone Fruit Salad with Pine Nuts, Cheese and Fresh Herbs
Roasted Lamb with Grilled Eggplant, White Bean Purée and Spicy Green Sauce
Summer Berry Parfait with Shortcakes, White Chocolate Whipped Cream and Lavender Syrup
Chef Abby Canfield is a self-professed farmland preservation advocate with a love for local, seasonal food. Abby believes, and we agree, that there is value in knowing your farmer. In this class, Chef Abby will highlight the people and produce of this region, featuring some products grown on Trust-conserved farms. Abby was inspired by late summer flavors in planning this menu and can’t wait to share it with you.
A representative from PCC Farmland Trust will be in each class to share stories and answer questions. Sign-up now for a farm-to-table evening at your local PCC Markets store this September!
All guests will be entered to win one of two copies of Cooking From Scratch, PCC’s cookbook featuring 120 colorful, seasonal recipes. Sign up now!
